International Labor Day is celebrated in many country around the globe every year on the 1st of May. It is a day dedicated to laborers of the working class.
While it’s not not completely clear why it’s celebrated in the USA in September, the origins of Labor Day can be traced back to the 19th century, when the labor union movement rose up against unjust working conditions and made several demands.
The day might stand for different things from one country to another, but it does have an overall theme, and that is celebrating the achievements of workers.
